Newsletter
Users can be included in the newsletter mailing list. Users have the right to be removed from the newsletter mailing list and can exercise this option at any time. They merely need to send an e-mail to this effect to datenschutz@raisingpower.de. They can also remove themselves from the mailing list by means of the unsubscribe link in the newsletter itself.
Newsletter tracking: Newsletter tracking (also called web beacons or tracking pixels) is used if users have given their explicit prior consent. When the newsletter is sent out, the external server can then record certain data of the recipient, such as the time and date the newsletter is retrieved, the IP address or details of the e-mail program (client) used. The name of the image file is personalized for every mail recipient by a unique ID being appended to it. The sender of the mail notes which ID belongs to which e-mail address and so can ascertain which newsletter recipient has just opened the e-mail when the image is called.

Use of first-party cookies (Google Analytics cookies)
Google Analytics cookies log:
- Unique users – Google Analytics cookies record and group user data. All activities during a visit are grouped. Setting Google Analytics cookies means that a distinction is made between users and unique users.
- Activities of users – Google Analytics cookies also store data on the time a visit to the website starts and ends and how many pages the user has viewed. When the browser is closed or if the user is inactive for a longer time (30 minutes as standard), the user session is ended and the cookie records the visit as ended. The date and time of the first visit is also recorded. The total number of visits per unique user is also logged. External link: http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html
Users can prevent recording of the data relating to use of the website generated by the cookie (including the user’s IP address) by Google and processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the following link in the browser plugin: External link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Google AdSense
This website uses Google AdSense, a web advertising service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google AdSense uses “DoubleClick DART cookies” (“cookies”). These are text files that are saved on the user’s computer and enable analysis of the website’s use by the user. In addition, Google AdSense uses web beacons (small invisible graphic images) to collect information. Use of them allows simple actions such as user traffic on the website to be recorded, collected and analyzed. The information on the visit to this website generated by the cookie and/or web beacon (including the user’s IP address) is usually sent to a Google server in the U.S. and stored there.
Google uses the information it obtains in this way to analyze usage patterns with regard to the AdSense ads. The IP address sent from the user’s browser as part of Google AdSense is not combined by Google with other data. The information collected by Google may be transferred to third parties if this is prescribed by law and/or third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Users can permanently object to cookies for ad preferences being set using the respective setting in the browser software to prevent this or downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link:
http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin?hl=de
It should be noted that certain functions of Raising Power GmbH’s website may not be able to be used or may only be able to be used with restrictions if the user has objected to the use of cookies.
Google AdWords – conversion tracking
This website uses the online advertising program “Google AdWords” and, as part of Google AdWords, conversion tracking. The cookie for conversion tracking is set if a user clicks on an advertisement placed by Google. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer system. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used to identify users personally. If the user visits pages on this website and if the cookie has not yet expired, Google and Raising Power GmbH will be able to tell that the user clicked on the ad and was forwarded to this page. Every Google AdWords user receives a different cookie. That means cookies cannot be tracked via the websites of AdWords users.
The information collected by the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics on AdWords users who have opted-in for conversion tracking. Raising Power GmbH is informed about the total number of users who clicked on its ad and were forwarded to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, Raising Power GmbH does not obtain any information enabling it to identify users personally. If users do not want to participate in tracking, they can object to its use by disabling the Google conversion tracking cookie with the user settings in their Internet browser. The user is then not included in the conversion tracking statistics.
Further information on Google’s data privacy regulations can be found at: http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/
Web analytics service Google Analytics / Universal Analytics
Raising Power GmbH uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies. These are text files that are saved on the user’s computer and enable analysis of the website’s use. The information on the visit to this website generated by the cookie is usually sent to a Google server in the U.S. and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, the user’s IP address will be abbreviated by Google beforehand within the member states of the European Union or in other countries that are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
Only in exceptional cases is the complete IP address sent to a Google server in the United States and abbreviated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide other services for the website operator relating to website and Internet use. The IP address sent from the user’s browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined by Google with other data. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by activating the respective setting on their browser software. However, Raising Power GmbH points out that in this case some functions of this website may not be able to be used to their full extent.
Raising Power GmbH also uses Google Analytics reports to record demographic features and interests.
Users can also prevent recording of the data relating to use of the website generated by the cookie (including their IP address) by Google and processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the following link in the browser plugin: Link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
Alternatively to the browser plugin or within browsers on mobile devices, the following link can be used to set an opt-out cookie that will prevent recording by Google Analytics within this website in future (this opt-out cookie only works in this browser and only for this domain; to delete cookies in this browser, click on the link again): Disable Google Analytics
Raising Power GmbH points out that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()” which means that IP addresses are only processed further in abbreviated form in order to prevent them being directly linked to a particular individual.
Web analytics service Piwik
This website uses the web analytics service software Piwik (www.piwik.org) to collect and store data for marketing and optimization purposes. This data is used to create user profiles under a pseudonym with the aid of cookies. Cookies are small text files that are saved locally in the cache of the site user’s Internet browser. The cookies enable the Internet browser to be recognized. The data collected using the Piwik technology (including your anonymized IP address) is transferred to the server of Raising Power GmbH and stored for the purpose of analyzing usage of the website so that Raising Power GmbH can optimize it. The information generated by the cookie in the pseudonymous user profile is not used to identify the user of this website personally and is not combined with personal data of the bearer of the pseudonym. If users do not want this data from their visit to the website of Raising Power GmbH to be stored and analyzed and wish to object to it with future effect, they can prevent the use of cookies and so participation in tracking. To do that, users can set their browser so that they are notified when cookies are set and can decide whether to accept them on a case-by-case basis or to exclude acceptance of cookies for specific cases or in general. If cookies are not accepted, the functionality of Raising Power GmbH’s website may be restricted.
Web analytics service New Relic
Raising Power GmbH uses New Relic, a web analytics service of New Relic Inc. (“New Relic”). Data is collected and stored to create user profiles using pseudonyms. These profiles are used for analyzing user behaviour and adapting Raising Power GmbH’s website to suit needs. In order to obtain this data, cookies are used. Cookies are small text files that are saved locally on the user’s computer system and so enable it to be recognized the next time the user visits Raising Power GmbH’s website. The pseudonymized user profiles are not combined with personal data on the bearer of the pseudonym without the user’s explicit consent, which must be granted separately.
If the plug-in is integrated, New Relic is informed that a user has called the page in the offering. If users are logged on to New Relic, New Relic can allocate the visit to their account with New Relic. If users are not members of New Relic, it is still possible for New Relic to learn their IP address and store it.
Users can object to data being collected and stored by New Relic with future effect by disabling cookies in their browser settings. However, Raising Power GmbH points out that in this case some functions of this website may not be able to be used to their full extent.
More information on New Relic can be found at www.newrelic.com. New Relic’s Privacy Policy can be called at newrelic.com.
E-mail security
Users consent to electronic communication as soon as they themselves initiate contact with Raising Power GmbH by electronic means. It is pointed out to users that e-mails may be read and changed without authorization and without them noticing when they are transferred. Raising Power GmbH uses a software product to filter out unwanted e-mails (spam filter). The spam filter may reject e-mails if they are falsely identified as spam due to specific features.
Data transfer – SSL encryption
128-bit SSL (AES 128) encryption technology is used on this website. Users’ data is transferred solely in encrypted form. 256-Bit SSL (AES 256) encryption technology is used for the portal. Users’ data is transferred solely in encrypted form.
Right to obtain information
In accordance with the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), users have the right to be provided free of charge with information on the data stored on them and, if applicable, a right to have this data corrected, blocked or deleted. Upon request, Raising Power GmbH will inform users in writing, in compliance with prevailing law, of what personal data is stored on them at Raising Power GmbH. This information is provided free of charge.
Right of objection by users
If users do not wish to have their data actively used by Raising Power GmbH for internal purposes, they have the right under Section 28 (4) of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) to object to its use and processing at any time. They merely need to send an e-mail to this effect to datenschutz@raisingpower.de. The special case where the law stipulates that data must be blocked instead of being deleted (Section 35 (3) of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG)) shall remain unaffected thereby.
Data transfer and logging for internal system and statistical purposes
For technical reasons, the user’s Internet browser automatically sends data to the web server when this website is accessed. Every data record consists of the date and time of access, the URL of the referring web page, the called file, the quantity of data sent, the browser type and version, the operating system and the IP address of the user. It is not possible for this data to be linked with a specific person. The stored data is only analyzed internally and solely for statistical purposes.
Security by means of technical and organizational measures
In accordance with Section 9 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), Raising Power GmbH uses technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons.
